Where has the time gone?

Geez it's been quite awhile since I've posted here. So what have I been doing? I'm glad you asked. I had my internship at the SC State Library (I wish I had a link to the new website they're working on. It's da shiz.) I've been taking a couple of classes (Interactive Websites for Information Professionals- I've got some PHP, ASP, Javascript etc. under my belt now) and a Research in Libraries class (pretty dry but, hey not everything can be exciting).

The internship was absolutely one of the best experiences I've had. Everyone I worked with were competent professionals with different areas of expertise. They let me work in teams with them, independently and even one on one with the head of systems Catherine Morgan (we did command-line Unix admin stuff-- I loved it). I felt like a true professional working with them. My next workplace has alot to live upto.

Which brings me to my next piece of news: I've tenatively got a job at Mary Washington University. I'll be the Assistant Systems Librarian. It sounds like a really really great position. I'll interview in a few weeks and I'm really excited.

Also exciting, Aimee and I are graduating next week and then we are moving to Orange, VA. Everything seems to be speeding along very quickly and I'm sure we'll turn around and it'll be December and time for our wedding. Yet another exciting venture.
